The protection and preservation of the environment are given very high priority at DANHOSTEL Thisted Vandrerhjem. In 1998, our efforts were rewarded with "The green key" - a certificate given to hotels and hostels which meet with 55 very strict requirements for environmentally friendly operation.

First and foremost, we are required to save electricity and water and other sources of energy, but also to sort our waste carefully. Furthermore, we serve certain organically grown products for e.g. breakfast. The green key is a wonderful and visible recognition of our daily efforts to protect the environment.
